If you've used Google Sheets, most of this will feel familiar. The differences are: fewer features (on purpose), fixed column types, and a header row that stays pinned.
Cells with fixed types render specialized editors: dates use a date picker, priority and status use dropdown chips, topic auto-completes against existing values.
Standard shortcuts (⌘C / ⌘X / ⌘V) work across cells and ranges. Paste from a real spreadsheet (Excel, Sheets) into nowdo and the columns will line up if they match the type. Type mismatches show an inline error.
Grab the bottom-right corner of a cell and drag down. Copies the value (or fills a date sequence if the source cell is a date).
Click a column header to sort by it; click again to flip the direction; click a third time to clear. Shift+click adds a secondary sort. Hover the column header for a filter icon, then multi-select the values you want to keep.
Saved combinations of sort + filter + hidden columns. Switch between them from the toolbar's Views menu. Built-in views (Todos, Today, Overdue, Done, …) ship with the app; you can save your own as well.
The top row stays put while you scroll. Column widths are draggable from the right edge of each header cell.
The toolbar's Mode toggle switches between the spreadsheet (default), Calendar (scheduled rows laid out by day), Dashboard (aggregate counters), Memos (long-form notes), and Memory (personal context for the AI).
