Keyboard shortcuts

The in-app Cmd+/ (or ?) help modal has the same list with live ⌘ / Ctrl formatting. This page mirrors it for prospective users browsing the docs.

mod = ⌘ on Mac, Ctrl elsewhere.

Navigation

• ↑ ↓ ← →: move cell selection
• Shift + arrow: extend selection
• Home / End: first / last column in row
• mod + ↑ / mod + ↓: first / last row in column
• Option + ↑ / Option + ↓: jump 10 rows
• Page Up / Page Down: scroll 10 rows
• Esc: clear cell selection

A narrow window

Below about 1,500px wide the Tasks sheet draws a list of tasks rather than a column grid, so the keys address whole tasks instead of cells. The grid is only drawn where it fits, so the sheet never scrolls sideways.

• ↑ ↓: move the focused task
• Home / End, Page Up / Page Down: first / last task, ten at a time
• Enter: open the focused task
• Esc: drop the focus
• mod + −: archive the focused task
• mod + Shift + A: AI fill the focused task

The cell keys (extend selection, copy, paste, type-to-edit) are off there: there are no cells on screen.

Editing

• Enter: edit the selected cell (or close an open dropdown)
• Any letter / digit: edit the selected cell, replacing with the typed character
• Shift + Enter or ⌥ + Enter: line break inside a wrapping cell or the quick-add box (Enter still commits)
• Esc: cancel edit
• Tab: commit and move right

Clipboard

• mod + C: copy
• mod + X: cut
• mod + V: paste

Rows

• mod + I or mod + +: insert row above
• mod + J: quick add a task, or dump several on separate lines to review and add together. Press it again while the capture is open to put the cursor back in it
• mod + −: archive / restore row
• mod + ↑ / mod + ↓ (with rows selected): move rows up / down
• mod + Shift + A: AI fill row from task
• mod + Shift + Enter: new task at end

Undo

• mod + Z: undo
• mod + Shift + Z: redo

Search

• mod + F: open search
• Enter: jump to next match

Save / sync

• mod + S: force sync now

Chat

• mod + K: open the assistant. With the panel already open but the cursor elsewhere, it focuses the composer; press it again to close
• Esc: close panel

Help

• ? or mod + /: open this list inside the app
