AI surfaces

NowDo.AI's AI is the differentiator from a plain spreadsheet. Here is where it shows up.

Per-row enrichment

Shortcut: ⌘Shift+A (on a selected row).

Reads the task text and any cells you've already filled in, then suggests values for the missing columns: topic, priority, estimated hours, do-on date. Overwrite the suggestions any time. They don't lock the row.

Quick add and brain-dump (⌘J)

Shortcut: ⌘J (on the web app).

One line adds a single task, enriched the moment it lands. Several lines, one task per line, turn into a review list: each line is split into its own task and enriched with a topic, dates, an estimate and a priority. Edit or discard any candidate, then add the lot in one go. If the AI is off or its free allowance is spent, your lines still add as plain tasks.

Review my tasks

The counterweight to easy capture. Tap the broom on the Tasks toolbar and the assistant reads your active list and hands back a short batch of tidy-up suggestions: two rows that are the same task to merge, a vague title to sharpen, a stale row to retire, an over-large row to split into smaller ones. Each carries a plain reason and a concrete change.

Nothing changes on its own. Accept or reject each suggestion. An accepted change rides the same paths as any edit, so ⌘Z undoes it. Recurring tasks are left alone. If your list is already tidy, it says so. If the AI is off or its free allowance is spent, you still get the obvious merges and retires.

Chat (⌘K)

A sidebar conversation that has read access to your tasks. Useful for:

Approve, reject, or edit any proposed change before it lands.

Memory

Durable facts the model keeps in mind. Things like "I'm a Go engineer working on a recommender system" or "I batch errands on Wednesdays". Memory is a list of discrete entries, grouped by kind: preferences, people, projects, facts, and corrections. Relevant entries ride into every conversation and every enrichment.

The assistant can add entries during chat and retire ones a new fact supersedes. A retired entry moves to the Stale section rather than vanishing, so you can see what changed and bring it back. Every change the assistant makes shows a toast with Review and Undo.

When AI fills a field and you correct it by hand soon after, a prompt offers to remember the correction. Kept corrections guide future enrichment towards your habits.

Open the Memory mode from the main toolbar to edit everything by hand: add, edit, retire, or delete any entry.

Siri capture (iOS app)

Enable it in Settings → Integrations on the iPhone app, then say "Hey Siri, add a task in nowdo" with the app closed. The dictated text is enriched the same way as a typed task (dates, priority, estimate) and lands tagged "from Siri". Offline captures are added when the app next opens.

Auto-scheduling

Switch the Tasks view to the calendar and your dated tasks pack onto the earliest free days and hours, working around the time you have and any connected calendar's busy windows. Run it any time from the toolbar.

Where the AI runs

Every AI feature runs on our own Anthropic account. There is nothing to set up and no key to paste. New accounts get a one-off free allowance to try it; after that, Pro keeps it running. Everything else in the app works without AI.
